NWCN.com | Boise sidewalks could roll up at dusk

re: Boise has a thriving nighttime sidewalk cafe business, but somebody just complained that the law currently says that places like that are supposed to close by sunset. There have been no problems, but the city is weighing whether to enforce the ordinance, or "make a temporary ordinance to keep those sidewalk cafes open till 2 in the morning" -- "The mayor's office admits outside dining and drinking haven't been an issue yet---but says it's taking a proactive approach to keeping Boise’s nightlife fun and safe./"It is actually a great problem to have because it tells us the nightlife is thriving and that we have a lot of actives[sic], but it does mean that we need to keep an eye on actives[sic] and make sure public safety is foremost,” [city spokesperson Michael] Zuzel said...

(The television station news site from which I got this tends toward approximate spellings. I'd guess the spokesman said "activities.")
